AUGUST | ARTIST OF THE MONTH | SAM JORDAN

If you are a part of the GreenHill community, you probably know Sam. Until recently, you could see her smiling face in the ArtQuest Studios making fantastical work with a bunch of new friends. She has now transitioned to being a full-time artist (awesome) and I am super excited to have her work in The Shop.  

"My artwork is a playful imagining of the natural world that surrounds us. Through the fusion of primitive and modern techniques I explore quirky and playful creatures in worlds where normality is ever fleeting. In an embrace of the ancient method of storytelling through pottery, I too explore the medium in a weaving of the ancient practice with painting techniques inspired by modern masters. Through illustrative imagery characters emerge to tell a story about the relationships among each other and of that with the viewer." -Sam Jordan
