This traveling exhibition explores the relationship between art and religion by bringing together the work of 53 leading contemporary artists from the southeastern United States. Including more than 100 contemporary works of art selected by curator Eleanor Heartney, NY-based arts writer and cultural critic, the exhibition explores the many borders inherent in religious belief and practice, among them borders between life and death, body and soul, matter and spirit, past and present, public and private.
