A stellar opportunity for emerging artists!
As the state’s only nonprofit dedicated exclusively North Carolina visual art, GreenHill will launch a pop-up with a purpose in Greensboro this September! This new mobile concept will showcase visual arts created by North Carolina emerging artists, from teens through senior citizens, and bring to life the talent and artistry of those who previously may not have had the chance to display art in a public setting.
SUBMISSIONS
Artists must be either born, trained, or currently practicing in North Carolina. Preference will be given to artists who are still in the emerging stage of their career and interested in building their businesses. Selected artists will participate in at least one of these markets: NC Folk Festival, Greensboro; Festival in the Park, Charlotte; or ArtsPlosure, Raleigh, and each artist will be required to be on site for at least a half-day during the Pop-Up, provide personal transportation, and deliver the art to GreenHill. Artists will be paid a stipend for their time. An extension of GreenHill's work with artists of NC, the Pop-Up market will celebrate diversity in mediums, and will kick off its first show at the Greensboro Folk Festival Sept. 8 - 10, 2023.
