Mary Young, Green Hill's Director of Artquest and education programs was awarded the Museum Educator of the year in 1999 by The North Carolina Art Education Association in grateful appreciation for outstanding commitment and exemplary service to art education within the state of North Carolina. Mary's involvement in art education for children had a great impact at Green Hill, in teh community and in teh state. She served on state and local panels, conducted workshops for children and teachers.
