GreenHill Center for NC Art is proud to announce the Betty and Benjamin Cone Jr. Alcove Gallery made possible by a generous gift from Betty Cone. As lifelong supporters of the arts and culture in North Carolina and Greensboro, Betty and Benjamin Cone Jr.’s philanthropic legacy lives on through the Alcove Gallery.

This new space dedicated to solo exhibitions will provide North Carolina artists with opportunities to showcase their work while furthering GreenHill’s mission to connect people with the art and artists of our state.

Join us in the Betty and Benjamin Cone Jr. Alcove Gallery for the opening of a solo exhibition of two and three dimensional artworks by Tara Thacker at GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art. Inspired by the avian world, Thacker’s layered ceramic and mixed-media pieces transforms material into richly textured abstractions and delicate wing-like forms.

Free and open to the public. Cash bar and light refreshments.
