GROUP VISITS
GreenHill offers learners of all ages the opportunity to experience NC art through our Group Visit program. Visitors will learn about NC artists’ use of media, techniques, and ideas represented in their art as well as time in the studios, where they will engage in hands-on art-making activities. School Group Visits are designed to meet the developmental needs of students, connect with gallery experiences, and make curriculum connections. Group Visits are $6 per student, with a minimum of 12 students.
Experiences include:

Thinking, talking, and/or writing about art

Learning about galleries, gallery etiquette, and exhibition terminology

Exploring the historical and cultural contexts of NC Art

Learning about NC artists, their art, techniques, and ideas

Making important connections between art and other disciplines

Participating in self-directed and guided studio activities

Exploring a wide range of artmaking media and processes

Experiencing the magic of studio spaces as places for imaginative and playful activity
Visits will include:

Time in the studios engaging in hands-on artmaking activities designed to meet the developmental need s of students, connect with gallery experiences, and make curriculum connections.
DAYS: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
TIME SLOTS: 9:30-11:00 / 11:30-1:00
GROUP SIZE: Minimum - 12 children per time slot / Maximum - 60 children per time slot
FEE: Children - $6.00 / Teachers - Free (2 per 15 children) / Additional Adults - $6.00
Title I Schools Free - Limited availability - only offered during the school year
