In 1992, Greenhill was the final exhibition site for NC Artist, Minnie Evans, showcasing her important career and life. Evans was an African-American folk artist known for her colorful drawings primarily executed in crayon.

Minnie Evan's bountifully sensual imagery reflects her reliance and trust upon her own senses to understand tehw orld and her place in it.  As gatekepper at the resplendent Southern estate, Airlie Garden sin Wrightsville Beach, NC, she spent 27 years observing acrs of azaleas in spring bloom, camellias, and magnolias.  Her need to express her wonder of nature to the worship and praise her Lord came together in her life's work: the creation of will over 500 artowkrs all after the age of forty.
