GreenHill offers workshops designed to provide a socially charged space that will rejuvenate the spirit and increase understanding of North Carolina art, art materials, and art processes. Led by trained facilitators and/or North Carolina artists, activities unfold in a stress-free setting using art materials and techniques that can easily be enjoyed at all experience levels. You set the pace and enjoy spending time with others who love the opportunity to look at art, make stuff and meet great people. Offering both afternoon and evening sessions, GreenHill’s workshops offer something for everyone. Prices vary. Must be 18 or older, or accompanied by a paying adult.


Found Object Jewelry Workshop

Adapt and reuse those trinkets and broken objects you just can’t part with to create a uniquely personal piece of jewelry. Broken earrings, coins, shells, stones and other natural materials, buttons and so much more can be used to make jewelry that will become a conversation piece. Painting without a Paintbrush Workshop

1-4pm and 6-9 pm

Create works with a variety of colors, textures, and designs all without a paintbrush. Participants will investigate ways to apply paint to the paper to create unique abstract designs. We’ll review basic color theory and experiment with a variety of tools such as found objects, palette knives, sponges, spatulas and natural materials to create three finished works on paper. Participants will learn painting techniques to add more expression, spontaneity, and freedom into their work.  Cost is $35. Space is limited. Sign up below.
